Stone Publishing Acquires Offsite Fulfillment Services
SANTA CLARA, CALIF. (October 28, 2007) — Stone Publishing, a Bay Area print services company since 1998, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Offsite Fulfillment Services of Redwood City, CA., a highly successful firm established in 1991 that specializes in delivering print-on-demand collateral and other business-critical products through online ordering. This acquisition represents the fourth such print services company to proudly call Stone Publishing its parent firm; the first being Almaden Press, acquired in 2001; Amazing Graphics, acquired in 2003; and recently House of Printing, which joined in 2006.
This acquisition is significant in that clients can now order print-on-demand and distribution services online — automating the process and enabling quick turn around of short-run corporate materials as needed. This new capability increases efficiencies, enables complex collateral management through its web-based system, and virtually eliminates the need for customers to dispose of outdated inventory — adding an environmental benefit to the process as well. This acquisition complements the current Stone Publishing offering of a complete front-to-end solution, encompassing everything from HP Digital printing to high-end, high-volume litho printing services, packaging, USPS mailing services, fulfillment, warehousing and distribution services.
Stone Publishing's complete printing solution provides the highest quality service for small-to-Fortune 100 companies. “We're extremely excited about the enhanced capabilities and increased capacity we can now offer as a group of complementary print service companies,” said Eric Stern, CEO of Stone Publishing and President of Almaden Press, House of Printing and now Offsite Fulfillment Services. “We've experienced tremendous growth over the last three years and adding an established online ordering and distribution solution was essential to continue meeting our client's needs at the highest level.”
Both Almaden Press and House of Printing already exhibit client lists that read like a Bay Area “Who's Who.” Google, Apple, Adobe, Intel, Cisco Systems, San Jose Sharks, Oakland A's, Paramount's Great America — even Dreyer's Ice Cream — have all consistently returned as repeat clients to both print establishments. The acquisition of Offsite Fulfillment Services adds more prestigious clients to the network, including Marvell Semiconductor, Sun Microsystems, WageWorks and ev3 (formerly Fox Hollow Technologies).
