The GRACoL G7 Standard
The General Requirements for Applications in Commercial Offset Lithography (GRACoL®) was developed to help print buyers, designers, and specifiers work more effectively with print suppliers. By following the GRACoL guidelines and recommendations, you’ll benefit in the following ways:
- Reduced costs, decreased turn-around times and better project workflow
- Print predictability: know what you’ll get on press – before you get there
- Worldwide color consistency management
- Brand protection and integrity
GRACoL helps to prompt better communication between designers, print buyers and print suppliers and helps avoid disappointment in expectations, improve processes and drive out excess costs.
As an early adopter of the GRACoL G7 offset printing standards, we continue the tradition of implementing industry best practices into our daily workflow that benefit our clients. This new global CMYK standard introduced in late 2006 isn’t software you can buy, nor a diagnostic machine; it’s a color curve calibration process that when mastered, creates an optimum and repeatable printing condition that removes the need for human eye color matching, ensuring seamless color consistency, regardless of paper or machine – worldwide.
